We all have that best friend in our lives – the one we turn to on the second day of sulking over a break-up while binge eating ice-cream, the one who always helps us with our cleaning, the one who always gives us company on a lazy Sunday at home, the one who always has our back when we’re over weight.
I’m talking about our good ol’ over-sized T-shirts.
Don’t you just love how you can simply wear an over-sized T-shirt and call it a day when you just don’t feel like doing anything?
Well, have you ever thought about wearing your T-shirt in a different way?
That way, even if you’re on one of your “at home” looks, you can always add something quickly and be good to go again.
Also, sometimes when you’re loitering about your house and you suddenly see yourself in the mirror, a plain over-sized T-shirt might seem a little boring.
So to spice it up and have some fun with your over-sized T-shirt, here are 3 new and different ways of styling it:
Off the shoulder look
This one’s easy. All you have to do is pull down one of your sleeves from your shoulder and wear a cool vest inside to flaunt it on your open shoulder. You can team it up with a pair of blue jeans and you’re good to go. You can either tuck it in or leave it out for a baggy look, that’s your call.
This one works best for pretty long over-sized T-shirts. You can pick your favorite belt, make it one that is prominent or loud either in print or color depending on the color of your T-shirt as well. Then you can casually wear it with your T-shirt with a pair of jeans.
Since the T-shirt is long enough, you can also wear it as a casual tunic or a shirt dress for a fun day out in the beach. Team it up with a hat or a huge bag and we have holiday chic style.
Knotted Crop look
If you’re a fan of the 70’s and 80’s classic looks rocked by some of the yesteryear super starts, then you’re gonna love this one. All you have to do is gather up the lower quarter or half of your T-shirt and put into a knot. You have your own DIY crop top.
It gives a slightly messy yet fit look to your T-shirt. The extra fabric is what actually makes it cooler.
So the next time you’re thinking of a casual day out when your comfort is your first priority for the day, try some of these looks.
Which one is your favorite? Let us know.
