The New York Fashion Week gave us some unforgettable fashion and beauty trends this year. And they certainly gave us some fashion goals as well.
After its departure, we had the much awaited London Fashion Week.
While it was mostly blizzard filled and snow covered in New York, we had a warmer climate in London, and the sun was out to make a guest appearance in February. And the abrupt switch in temperature did nothing to hamper the enthusiasm or energy of the fashion designers, models or editors in any way.
London Fashion Week was all about casual and playful clothing with oversized blazers, patent leather pants and frayed hems. There were also a number of other home-based brands that showed their masterpieces on the runway like Christopher Kane and Nicholas Kirkwood that are often spotted on the streets.
The fashion idea conveyed was pretty clear – it’s totally ok to pair a fancy coat with sneakers, it is ok if you wanna wear weird prints and patterns and it is also ok to wear neon shades. So there you go, your daily dose of fashion motivation and inspiration. Maybe you can put that up on your bathroom mirror or something.
Anyway, let’s take a look at some of the hottest trends that are likely to rule the fashion world straight from the LFW runway:
In case you’re wondering how to style a gingham, then here’s something you can copy, especially when it’s a little cold outside. Leather pants to the rescue.
Find your fanny
Yup. Fanny packs are totally in this season. Different versions of them have been in fashion during previous seasons, but this time we’re going all out funky.
Neon street style
Break free from limitations this season. Here’s how you can style neon colors with street style.
Textures are all in
Velvet, faux fur, denim, you name it. They’re all in and how.
Flatter your waist
Anything that flatters your figure should be your forte. So why don’t you wear a belt over your jacket or your shirt?
So which one are your favorites? Let us know.
