The grand finale of the awards season just ended. The Academy Awards 2017 just came to a close last night and I think it is safe to say now, that most the most deserving people took home the honor, including a lot of them that were widely expected and obvious.
The show was nothing short of a star lit night, and everything from the stage setting to the hosting to the celebrities were totally on point.
Well, almost, if you ignore the Best Motion Picture Award mix up that was wrongly announced to be won by La La Land, but actually went to Moonlight.
Another embarrassing Miss Universe moment there.
Nevertheless, it was a magical night and how can an award night go by without the mandatory best dressed list from the red carpet?
So here are the top 5 best dressed celebrities from the 2017 Oscars red carpet:
Ruth Negga in Valentino
The numero uno in terms of best dressed would have to be Ruth Negga in her high neck bold custom gown by Valentino in the brightest of hues. It also made her ACLU pin stand out. The pin soon became the accessory of the night and more celebrities showed up wearing the pin as the night progressed.
Naomie Harris in Calvin Klein
Another winner of the night was Naomie Harris who wore a stunning sleek white sequined Calvin Klein gown with a cape. Yup, a little skewed from conventional red carpet looks but one of the best. The gown was cocktail length which perfectly enhanced the mixed up shoes.
Taraji P Henson in Alberta Ferretti
Taraji showed up in a timeless classic number – a black gown old Hollywood style. From the fit to the matched jewelry, the whole piece was fab. She totally nailed it and something tells me that she is going to make it to every best dressed list.
Emma Stone in Givenchy Couture
This is the kind of dress you wear when you know that the moments are going to go down in history. Emma Stone showed up as elegant as ever in a Givenchy Couture golden gown with tassels.
Viola Davis in Armani
This would have to be the best red of the night. Viola Davis looked stunning from head to toe in her bright red Armani gown. I guess perfection found new meaning last night. But then again, has she ever gone wrong with her red carpet looks?
So that’s our top 5. Which look is your favorite? Let us know.
