Kate Middleton Explains How Hard Parenting Can Be, Even For the Duchess of Cambridge!

They say the world’s most difficult job is that of a mother.
I’m sure mothers world over would agree to that statement hands down.
We would think, that that’s the case with regular mothers. Maybe even celebrity mothers, who have also, time and again mentioned how difficult and challenging motherhood is.

Did you ever think what it would be like for a royal mother?
I mean they have everything in their life together all the time don’t they? They have all the faithful helpers in the world at their beck and call. So raising a child should also be a cakewalk for mothers of royalty, right?

Wrong actually. It is in fact the exact opposite, according to the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton.

During a rare public speech in London, Kate Middleton shared her experiences and challenges she faced after becoming a mother. It was a charity event organized by “Best Beginnings”, an organization that focuses on child health in the U.K. She was introducing a series of films focused on the mental health and well-being of a mother. She shared her own experiences and struggles with motherhood.

She said, “Personally, becoming a mother has been such a rewarding and wonderful experience. However, at times, it has also been a huge challenge. Even for me, who has support at home, that most mothers do not. Nothing can really prepare you for the sheer, overwhelming experience of what it means to become a mother. It’s full of complex emotions of joy , exhaustion, love, and worry, all mixed together.”

Quite a genuine and empathetic speech I would say. She clearly seems to understand the struggles of a mother, a regular mother at that.

Then she went on to explain the various emotions that a mother could go through after giving birth during the first few months with their new born child. She also explained how things can go wrong and it can likely affect the confidence and overall mental health of mothers.
Apparently, about two in ten women will suffer from some kind of mental issue related to pregnancy like post-partum depression.

Through the charity initiative created by Middleton and her husband, Prince William along with brother in law Prince Harry, they hope to put an end to the difficulties faced by women that often lead to new moms feeling depressed, lonely and hopeless.
Our children need us to look after ourselves and get the support we need.” She said.

That is indeed 100% true I would say.

The entire speech was nothing short of inspirational and uplifting and also informative for all women and mothers out there. Most importantly, she highlighted the fact that Royals are also just like us and being a mother is just as difficult for her as it is for everyone else.
