Fans of beauty, it is time to get really excited. You know how one of your arguments about wearing too much makeup is that it is actually art for your face? Well, any renowned artist needs a canvas, which you obviously have, and of course a great set of colors, in this case, makeup.
Art, the scarcer it is, the more desiring. Well, beauty brand Urban Decay is meeting these requirements and has opened a temporary pop-up store located in the New Stand at Union Square. It has the brand’s collection made in collaboration with Jean Michael Basquiat.
Now, the excuse with makeup and art is really going to work because, as you probably already know, Basquiat is a famous Brooklyn based painter and graffiti artist. Have I mentioned that the collection is extremely limited? Well, I guess that is an even greater reason to add it to your own makeup collection, right?
If you haven’t got the chance to get your hands on those lipsticks, eyeshadow palettes and makeup vaults on the exclusive pre-sale in the Union Square subway station, because it was probably sold out by the time you got there, you should not worry. The collection is available to the general public.
Now that you have even more reasons to get your hands on those limited edition makeup items, it is time to update your shopping list. After all, a great canvas like your face deserves some one of a kind makeup products, right? It is time to prepare your studio, your brushes and your canvas as some great artwork will be made soon. Ah, and don’t forget to take some pictures and use the hashtag #egomediatv so that we can give them a big thumbs up.
